Position Description
Representative Duties
- Serves as courtroom deputy for all court sittings. Coordinates with the panel, counsel, and other court staff.
- Enters information into the Court’s automated system
- Prepares and distributes the Visiting Judge Assignment Memo for each court week
- Dockets and transmits orders to parties
- Prepares and distributes day sheets
- Coordinates the space and support needs of visiting judges
- Answers queries on procedures and status of cases. Assists the public and the bar both in person and by phone.
- Processes requests relating to all oral argument calendars held in Seattle
- Coordinates video appearances
- Coordinates the distribution of temporary access cards for visiting judges and staff
- Maintains courtrooms, visiting chambers, robing rooms, and conference rooms in presentable condition
- Orders and maintains supplies and equipment
- Processes mail and distributes packages to visiting chambers
- Coordinates and supports the use of delivery services, ie., FedEx and UPS
- Assists with the issuance of employee identification/electronic access cards
- May perform as courtroom deputy for other locations as needed
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualification
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of specialized experience such as progressively responsible clerical or administrative experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Court experience is strongly preferred
- A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position

Salary: Depending on qualifications and experience, $53,711 to $87,303 (CL 25)

Conditions of Employment
